Horizontal vs Vertical Blinds: Installation at Cavite & Tagaytay Philippines
When renovating a room, various window treatments are available and one of these is blinds. When it comes to blinds, we often ask the difference between vertical and horizontal blinds. It can be a challenging part for you to choose either horizontal blinds or vertical blinds. On the other hand, both horizontal blinds and vertical blinds are great and work very well as window covering. It will just depend on your windows specific need and your house motif. To figure out their difference, here are some of their features:
VERTICAL BLINDS:

• Its vertical slats are attached at the top of the window frame.
• It has two chain controllers to filter the light and to synchronize every slat. The first chain controller is used to tilt vertical slats in any angle, and the second chain controller is used to bring them either left, right or both direction through using split type method.
• Every vertical slat can be replaced one by one in case of breakage.
• It is commonly used at sliding glass doors, patio doors and wide windows.
• You can choose from either PVC or fabric materials and available in 3.5” slat size
HORIZONTAL BLINDS:

• Each horizontal slat are connected to each other from top to bottom which are supported by a window frame attached at the top of the window.
• It also has two cords to control the amount of light to enter the room. The first chord is used to tilt horizontal slats in any angle, and the second chord is used to bring them either up or down.
• It provides less noise and do not rattle with the winds compared to vertical slats.
• When one horizontal slat got damage, the entire thing needs to be replaced.
• It is commonly used for standard size windows.
• You can choose from either PVC, wood or aluminum materials.
• Available in 2” and 1” slat size.
