Blackout combi blinds fabrics, unlike its non-blackout alternatives, took a few years to evolve.  About 4-5 years ago, only a  few combi shades blackout is available notably the Hannover H500 Series that already absorbs 99.70% of heat and blocks 99.9% ultraviolet light.  This 2018 we’re glad to announce the availability of 3 more classes namely Ultima, Majesty, and Luxury.

If you compare the difference between these classes of blackout combi fabrics, you’ll notice that in terms of style their differences are its Repeats of solid and mesh part.  For example, Majesty fabrics have a solid 115mm and a mesh of 80mm while Luxury have a solid 100mm and a mesh of 75mm, meaning the Majesty fabrics have a taller solid part.  Some people prefer a taller solid part because their priority is to block the sunlight while others prefer a shorter solid part because their priority is style and/or being able to see the view outside.

Another differences between these new fabrics are its absorptance which is defined as its effectiveness in absorbing radiant or heat energy which means the higher the value the higher its insulating property in absorbing heat energy.

Lastly, you’ll notice also that the latest blackout combi shades classes differ in color selections.  Luxury and Majesty in particular has a brighter playful color, while Ultima has a more neutral and formal color selections.

In the end, it’s up to you the customer who will ultimately decide which is better for your room. The good news is the blackout combi blinds fabrics are getting better in blocking heat and sunlight, thanks to evolving and new manufacturing techniques.
